I like the idea of being able to play acoustic sounds on an electric guitar. Even make a midi instrument out of your guitar? Wow. It seem like like you have been doing this stuff for a long time.

Hi Mitch,

The Graph Tech Ghost Saddles are really cool. I love the acoustic sound of it. You really need a guitar technician to install this for you especially if you want to install the Hexpander Pre-amp for midi purposes.

That is a really cool pick up!. I watched the video demo of the pickup and it has great response time with no lag. I use to have a midi pickup on one of my strats. It sounded good but there was a little lag in the timing and made it tricky to sync.

Thanks for sharing this cool pickup with us. I would probably have to have someone install it for me. I installed my last pickup and it was a little tricky.

Hi,

I play whenever I can. These saddles can make an electric guitar sound like an acoustic guitar and it will even turn it into a midi instrument if fitted with the Hexpander Pre-Amp. I learned about guitars by doing modifications and playing for over fifteen years.

You always have some cool gadgets that can be used to play some real tunes. How often do you play? I have not posted any new music, but I am sure our sounds are similar and our stories mesh well. These saddles are cool as they can make an electric guitar to sound like an acoustic guitar. Guitar as a midi instrument? I am guessing you and your friends always talk about guitars as you sound like you know what you are talking about.

Hi Anthony,

The Graph Tech Ghost Saddles are a very big help for beginners. You can have a real acoustic sounding electric guitar. That means having a studio quality acoustic sound without the pain due to the string tension of an acoustic guitar.

Nice review. I really enjoy your site as a newbie to playing guitar. This is a little advanced for me, but your site is helpful to all levels. I am using an app called yousician. It has really helped get past some of the growing pains. Hopefully I will get to a level where using a ghost saddle makes sense. Right now no one wants to hear what I’m playing haha.
