Buying guitars online is cheaper and they will ship it to your home which is a lot more convenient. I agree it is good to select a model and try it on a guitar store for feel before ordering online.

I bought my first electric guitar somewhere around 2000, and I have been thinking about getting a new one lately.

Since I purchase nearly everything except groceries online, Amazon or ebay would definitely be my first choice for purchasing my new guitar online.

It will likely be cheaper and there will be more variety. I would go check out the model i'm interested in at a brick and mortar store, feel it, play it, then I will buy it online cheaper :)

I am glad you appreciate my post. Shopping guitars online is a very good way to save money as there are really good deals there. You just have to do your search.

Wow, great post! Very helpful for those who are new to hunting down all the best gear deals, I remember when I first started looking for my instruments online vs in the store, i was amazed at the differences.

Even better is when you find stores nearby who will price match what you find online, it’s rare but occasionally happens 🙂
