Hi! I’m Den and guitar has been my passion.
It gives me a lot of pain to see a guitarist, to have their guitar set up by somebody else. For me, it is not about if you can afford a guitar technician or not, it is about giving a personal touch to your guitar. It is of great advantage if you have at least the knowledge of how to do it yourself.
A lot of celebrity guitarists are good with tweaking their guitars. Kirk Hammet and Brian May (build his own) as an example. It is not too late for a player who has the passion to set-up or to tweak their guitar.
I play rock, but my job and other priorities in life prevented me from being in a band. I usually jam with my wife who plays bass and my teenage daughter who plays drums.
Please check our Demo on YouTube.
I started doing repair, modification, and customization as a hobby. Then my friends and friends of friends began to notice my work, and that’s where I gained my experience and my customer base.
I build this website so I can share what I have learned and experienced to the whole world. Years of actual work and research got me into some good reputation among my customer base.
Thank you for dropping by, and I hope you gained something from your visit. Please do not hesitate to ask questions, leave comments or subscribe to my mailing list so that you will be the first to receive updates and offers.
Cheers,

Hello Den,
I really liked your review about the set of Crunch Lab and Liquifire pickups. I want to swap those in my old Ibanez prestige RG 2570. However i’ll have to do the job myself as its hard to get a tech that can do that locally. I was wondering if you could help me out with some easy wiring pics so that i can do it myself. I’ll also cancel the middle single coil within the process as i don’t use it much. I’d really appreciate your help. Again, Great review
Den says
Hi Kevin,
I am glad you like my review. Do not cancel the middle pickup because you have to change the 5-way knife switch to a three-way knife switch. Only telecasters have 3-way knife switch. If you use a three-way toggle switch you will have to add a new hole.
So keep the old wiring you have. DiMarzio has four wires. Connect black and white together then tape it. Red is hot, green and bare is ground. Just connect the hot and ground wires to the point where you remove your old pickups wires.
This is reference diagram for your guitar model.

Hi sir Den. By the way, it’s me the one who played your guitar (Fender USA) last Saturday’s wedding. I was also the one who played the keyboard. I saw and read this page. I am pretty much in awe watching your talented family enjoying the music with you. Hope I can jam with you also…hihihi very well pleased to know you sir Den. God bless you and your family.

Hi Edvin,
I am glad you found my website. Thank you for appreciating our family jam. I wish we could jam someday too. I will let you try my highly modified Jem (with sustainer and Graph Tech Ghost Piezo Saddles). It is a much higher level guitar than the one you have tried.
Thanks for the comments,
Den
