Gittler Titanium Guitar
Summary
Model: Gittler Titanium Guitar
Construction: All Aircraft Grade 6AL-4V Titanium
Country of Manufacture: USA
Price: $7600
Rating Stars: 5/5
Bottom Line: The only setback of this guitar is the price as it is very expensive. But for collectors who got the money, this is an instrument that would last for generations to come and has a very real potential of increasing its value as time goes by, considering its Titanium construction. There is no guitar constructed like this. So if you are a guitar collector grab it while you still can. This guitar is a real value for money.
I have mentioned in my previous page about the potential of titanium as a better fret wire than stainless steel. My long experience with modifying guitars tells me that it is more musical than most metals being used today.
I have modified guitars (changing tremolo tone blocks with brass and titanium). Brass is musical as it is mostly used on musical instruments (cymbals, and many wind instruments), but titanium is a different beast.
Titanium has a lower internal dampening characteristic than Brass meaning that Titanium will not absorb the vibration of the guitar strings. Titanium will transmit the string vibrations to other parts of the guitar, and that makes the noticeable increase in sustain.
I have both titanium and brass tone blocks for my personal guitars, but I still use titanium. For every guitarist, sustain is the holy grail and titanium is the sure winner for sustain.
Then comes this guy who made a whole guitar out of Aircraft Grade 6AL-4V titanium. Truss rod on this one doesn’t require adjustment, unlike wooden electric guitar where the wood moves about because of heat and humidity. There is no other word I can use, both as a guitar player and as a guitar technician. WOW !!!

Cool, I own about 25 to 30 guitars and bass’s, I’ve never seen anything like the Gittler All Titanium Guitar.
I like the idea of no Truss rod adjusting.
Very expensive indeed. Do you have any sound demos or youtube demos of the guitar?
It would be great to hear it.
Thanks,
Greg
