The Classic Stratocaster Body with Modern Upgrades

The body of the Fender Deluxe Player’s Stratocaster gives it a classic look, but is offered in a greater number of styles and finishes that could suit the taste of different players.

The body is made from ash wood, which gives this guitar a fuller tone. It has a polyester finish that helps in preventing different forms of damage.

The Fender Deluxe Player’s Stratocaster has three vintage noiseless single-coil pickups with advanced wiring.

These pickups also reduce the amount of distortion present during heavy playing as well as the humming when the guitar is silent.

Seven Pickup Combinations and Chrome Hardware

Similar to other versions of the Fender Stratocaster, the Deluxe Stratocaster variant has three control knobs, with one being for the master volume and the other two being for tone control.

This guitar also has a blade switching system to select between its three pickups, along with a push /push button switch that is used to activate the bridge pickup in the fourth and fifth position of the switch.

This guitar gives off no less than the clear, bright, and vibrant tone attributed to Fender Stratocasters.

The hardware on the Deluxe Stratocaster is chrome, which adds durability and resistance to corrosion as well as giving at unique and more vintage look.

This guitar is retailed at $800 which is about $200 more expensive than the Standard Stratocaster.

If you consider the upgrades, it is worth the $200 extra.

Conclusion

For the $200 extra, you will pay it is worth the upgrades you get from a Standard Stratocaster.

The locking tuners, the two added pickup selection, the two-point tremolo bridge not available on the standard,  and of course the extra fret on the deluxe model is a plus.

Then if you add the Ashwood body where it is only available on high-end Fenders, you get a good deal here.
